NORDAM Wellness strives to change lifestyle habits and behaviors of our stakeholders in order to reduce their risk of chronic and debilitating diseases by introducing comprehensive wellness concepts in an accepted, motivating and positive Strategy.
Very few people are willing or able to make major changes in their lifestyle today to reduce their risk for chronic and debilitating diseases that might occur ten, twenty, or even thirty years in the future. To affect behavior changes, stakeholders need to be first made aware of the daily habits that influence health. For some stakeholders, that is all they need to know to make healthful lifestyle changes. However, this is a very rare occurrence. Most likely, stakeholders need specific information on how to make changes or they need some sort of motivation to try a new healthy behavior. Finally, there are a small proportion of stakeholders who are willing and motivated enough to get involved in intensive skill development intervention programs. The Wellness programs that are developed will include awareness, education/motivation, and intervention activities in a "wave" that encourages gradual changes in daily living activities.
The NORDAM Wellness Program will strive to increase the participation rate among all stakeholders by utilizing various, effective channels of communication that will reach every stakeholder and offering attractive incentives to increase participation in our initiatives.
